Description | Bottom is rather flat with a hook up either side. Top carved to represent a face with long nose joining hook portion. Carved bird's head (?) on either side of head facing downwards with open space between them and face. Shallow incised carving on face and heads accented with orange and white paint. Rest may have been painted black. Face is the same on both sides. Hole through the top. These hooks are hung from the rafters inside houses; objects such as baskets are hung on them. |
