Description | Tall alabstron. Fine, pink (7.5 YR 8/2-4) clay, covered with dark brown paint. Wiped with water before painting. No added white preserved. Intact: surface eroded. A common type, but usually decorated. For the survival of dark-painted vases into LM IB contexts in eastern Crete see Betancourt and Davaras 1986: fig. 15, no. PS 79 (Pseira). |
