Description

Vessel with convex profile and open mouth with one open spout; two horizontal handles; three legs with thick oval sections. Medium to coarse textured, reddish yellow (7.5 YR 7/6) clay, covered with red (2.5 YR 5/6) to dark red (2.5 YR 3/6) slip. Undecorated. Restored from fragments; some sherds missing. This type of vessel, the Type B cooking pot, is a standard Minoan cooking vessel in MM and LM I. For discussion see Betancourt 1980: 3-5, and fig. IB.
