Description | Dry lacquer Buddha image. Seated in vajrasana on throne. Bhumisparsa mudra, touching the earth gester. Robe with right shoulder bare. Head and ushnisha covered with bead like hair. Made hollow and light in weight. Traces of white paste, resin, and broken pieces of dried flower stems or grass inside. Was gilded but the gold scraped away. Scratches visible to body. |
