Description

Warp: \ wool; red-orange.

Weft: \ linen; ud: \ wool; ud and pink-purple, red, dark-blue, apricot.

Technique: Tapestry over one warp.

Red gown with angle band and two medallions mostly dark-blue wool and linen with a few details in pink-purple. The band and medallion have crested edges and carry linked ovals enclosing various crude figures. Growing up from the center of the band are large alt. small conventional trees (?) flanked by crude human figures. The upright ends of the bands terminate in conventional trees also flanked by human figures.
