Description | 6 pieces; Black bucchero pedestal bowl with supports - 2 figs., 2 6-sectioned panels with animal figures. Omphalos center bottom of bowl, inside, from which radiate fine gouges; 3 incised lines encircle outside of bowl, lower 1/2 of wall; serrated ridge at base of bowl near jointure of support. Figure supports: male with headdresses; pigtails over shoulders, arms across front, hands hold torque? Wear kilts, cape? Legs not represented. Hollow cone-shaped pedestal. Clay fine, slipped and rubbed, fired non-glossy black. Micaceous. |
