Description

A copy of the Ichimai-kishōmon (一枚起請文) the last instructions written by Honen for Yoritomo, one of Honen Shonin's (1133-1212 CE) pupils. Honen was a Buddhist monk and founder of Jodo, Japanese Pure Land Buddhist Sect. Comments are added by the Japanese Emperor. Written in ink on paper. Handprints over inscription. Verification of authenticity (29-96-713A-C)
