Description | Sommerville: Calc Tufa. Cupid. Antique fragment dug up in the Campagna (From Depoletti's Collection, Rome). Greek and Roman Cameos, Case OO. Vermeule: Burnt Sard? Cameo. (Unmounted). Broken on top and both sides - shape of small plaque. Draped bust of Eros to left. The features are in excellent late Hellenistic style. sommerville states "... dug up in Campania. From Depoletti's collection, Rome." |
