Description | Tomb 2A = Herscher Tomb 802A. Red polished II jug with round spout. Bright orange clay with dark gray interior, large inclusions. Uneven matt slip, mottled dark orange, brown, dark red. Flat base (D.: 6 cm), ovoid body; conical neck, round spout, flaring rim; vertical handle from mid-neck to upper body. Incised decoration: two pairs of short horizontal lines on handle. |
