Description | Fruit-shaped, blossom with stem on vessel side. Flaring neck, two vertical loop handles shoulder to rim. Narrow-necked jar/bottle with an effigy-fruit shaped body, flaring neck, missing rim, 2 strap handles extending from the neck to the body, and a flat base. The vessel is shaped like a fruit. The painted surface is now missing. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is buff in color. Fireclouding is present on the body. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the interior of neck reads: "331." |
