Description

CBS Register: Object in clay (round, stuck in memory of the dead?)

PBS XIV: Round clay tessera from Palmyra, 18 x 17 x 4 ½ mm. Acquired, 1891. Face and reverse have the same inscription. A man and his wife half reclined on a couch, lean on one elbow, while stretching the other arm across the half raised knee.
