Description

Sommerville: Sardonyx. Plautilla, wife of Caracalla and daughter of the African Plautianus Fulvius. Greek and Roman Cameos, Case Q.

Vermeule: Sardonyx. Cameo. (gold pin mounting). Draped bust of a Roman woman facing to left. Sommerville identifies her as Antilla, wife of Caracalla and daughter of the African Plantianus Falvius. 16th or 17th century.
