| Description | Plain. Narrow-necked jar/bottle with an ovate body, bulging neck, rounded rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a flat base. There are no molded/modeled additions and no decoration. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. Evidence of usewear includes black staining on the interior. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base. No other numbers are visible on the object. |
