Description | No-sho. Phoenix, one of a set of four used in Noh dance. Others are A720, A721, A722. Wooden, transverse flute in two sections joined by a peg, wrapped in white paper with lettering, top section has head of phoenix carved on it, wood painted black with two bands of red thread and another band at joint of sectons. Other section has ten holes on top, two vent holes in back. Tail of phoenix carved at end. |
