Description | 1 of 2 Fragments: Fragments of red double vessel. Crude human figure seated cross-legged; this arm bowed, hand on knee. one arm missing Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a double-chambered effigy-anthropomorphic body, missing neck, missing rim, and a flat base. The vessel has one chamber shaped like a seated figure with arms resting on crossed legs. The vessel is painted white and red. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink on the bottom of the base. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1018." |
