Boat is equpped with mobile rudder and is mounted on a flat stand. This is a model of a Vanak-bara, a smaller vessel of 4-5 tons, used in coastal trade. It was built by Mistri Yakub Siddiq, shipbuilder of Mandvi Kutch well known for his excellence. Built in Mangrol and Veraval, on the Gulf of Cambay and the Arabian Sea. A new vessel in 1980 would cost 4500 per ton to build. |
