Description | Dance rattle. Seed shells string with Gnetum twine on a double cane backcurving frame. Two plaited rings of fiber at bottom end of the cane frame. Bamboo clasp (for attaching the rattle to a man's bark belt) lashed to the bottom of the frame. The rattle is worn upright, projecting backwards, hanging over the buttocks. missing is a fiber retaining ring that slips over the bamboo clasp, above the belt, to keep the clasp firmly clamped over the belt and the rattle securely in place. |
