Description

Round, wooden Katsina doll. The face is painted white with multicolored stars. The eyes are bulging and the mouth is a protruding snout. The ears are painted red and perforated with feathers. A tuft of feathers and plant fiber are attached to the top of the head. The body is painted white and red with arms painted blue and yellow. This figure is the A'hote (or Sikyahote) Katsina.
