Description | Sommerville: Pale Sard. Aristides. Greek and Roman Cameos, Case RR. Vermeule: Pale sard. Cameo. (Unmounted) Draped bust of a Hellenistic type philosopher portrait facing. Sommerville identifies the person as Aristides but the features seem to be inspired after Demosthenes portraits. Italian work of the 18th century. |
