Description | Pao-ti. Gourd whistle fastened to tails of carrier pigeons. This whistle can potentialy produce 7 distinct notes (some may be doubles). There are six small inserted tubes with slit openings (perhaps bamboo) in addition to a single opening in the gourd itself. The charachter engraved at the bottom of the whistle says: Jiang (river) 江. |
