Description

White rice paper with black calligraphy writing. Ten characters in one and a half vertical rows written in wide brush translated as The old pine talks wisdom of Satori, the calm bird whispers Satori. Second smaller vertical line of Japanese characters along left side translated as Tofukuji Chief Abbot, a Zen master. Two red paste seals below. Elongated irregular shaped red seal at right near top.
