Description | Decorated. Loom pattern stripes inse to plain weave top; warps overlapping a common weft serving as loom string. Fragment of woven cloth with 5 bands/stripes of a single-sided bobbin weave (floats on verso). This weaving appears to be over the plain weave base. Remnants of a needle-knitted edge. Evidence of what appears to be a join to a plain weave cloth along one of the long edges. According to the catalogue card, this is a part of a "loin cloth". Color(s): Brown and white. |
