Flattened base; globular body, tapering neck; one loop handle shoulder to neck. Red. With a face on neck and line and punctuate decoration. Five bossed with incision around circumference.

Face-neck vessel. Narrow-necked jug with a globular body, tapered neck, rounded rim, 1 strap handle extending from the neck to the body, and a flat base. The vessel has a modeled face on the neck with headdress, ears, eyes, nose, and mouth. There are raised ornaments (?) on the body and punctate dots decorating the face and body. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. Fireclouding is present on the body. Evidence of usewear includes staining. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1604."
