Description | The mask is carved in high relief on a roughly oval plaque of wood, the outlines of the face following the shape of the plaque [or vice versa]. The nose is a simple rounded ridge proceeding from the flat face of the scarp-like forehead, the mouth a simple round prominence with a concave surface. The face is whitened. One of the properties of the Kawso Society. See 37-22-272, 274, 262. |
