Description | Dish on low conical foot. Reddish-buff clay with metallic greenish-black glaze irregularly applied around the foot. Shape very irregular, probably due to a firing accident. Interior decoration consists of a groove around stamped dolphin and floral design, 2 of each. The dolphins surmount a bar, perhaps intended to represent the sea. The flowers have 10 petals. Next, a single groove surrounds a central stamped dolphin degidn of the same type as the others. |
