Description | Ornamented Gourds. With burnt decoration. Used for storage of small articles; some were also used for storing oil. Geometric incised and blackened decoration. Six geometric figures, double lined, blackened encircle center of gourd; each side incised with a triangle with cross hatch pattern; blackened ring around top and base; one brass stud in rim, below one of the five pointed cut outs at top. |
