Description | White cotton blouse with floral zoomorphic and geometric beadwork designs in green, pink, yellow, aqua, orange, red, navy blue, sky blue, purple and maroon on front yoke and three vertical front panels, and top of sleeves; beaded edgins and ruffles. Throughout the Sierra regions of Puebla bead embroidery on huipils is traditional. The technique, bordado con chaquira (embroidery with beads), is often referred to as "pepenado" (little seeds). |
