Description | Lamp with incurving rim, pulled out spout, one handle opposite the spout, the base. Unevenly colored, sandy red to black clay. Treatment of surface unknown (not preserved). Undecorated. Handle and part of base missing; -surface disintegrated. Discolored and badly flaked, from fire. A common type. Compare (among others) Bosanquet 1901-1902: 285, fig. 4 (Palaikastro); Chapouthier and Demargne 1942: fig. 25 (Mallia). |
