Description

Conical rhyton. Fine, very pale brown (10 YR 8/3) clay, with decoration in reddish brown paint and added white paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Series of friezes, separated by bands: joined running rosettes; foliate band; others not preserved. Added white: thin bands on dark bands; lines around rosettes. Section of body and non-joining sherd. Comments: LM I. See MS4124. Compare Hawes et al. 1908: pl. 7, no. 32 (Gournia); Marinatos 1968-76: V, pl. 63 (Akrotiri).
