Description | ORNAMENTED GOURDS: With burnt decoration. Used for storage of small articles; some were also used for storing oil. Geometric incised and blackened decoration. Four panels, each incised with an X made up of double lines; columns in between each X; one column is incised with diamond motif with cross hatch pattern in the background; Six pointed cut out at top. |
