Description | Possibly woman's work bag. Rectangular. Seam down center back. Bottom seam 4 cm. above bottom of skin. Decorated on one surface only with buckskin band at top covered with light and dark blue, red and white "seed" beads (lazy stitch and sinew thread used) from which are pendant quill-wrapped rawhide strips cut from an old parfleche and ending in tinklers with horsehair. Remnants of two pair narrow straps at top edge on inside. One long strap with red quill-wrapping once formed handle. |
