Description | Rim-sherd from a straight-sided cup. fine, light reddish brown (2.5YR 6/4) paint with a paler surface, with decoration in unevenly colored red to brown paint and added white paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Interior painted. Band at rim; zone of floral motifs. Added white: pendent concentric semicircles at rim in interior; group of paint flecks above thin horizontal band on dark band on exterior. For the added white decoration compare Bosanquet and Dawkins 1923: pl. 16c (Palaikastro). |
