Description | Body-sherd from a basin or jar. Coarse, unevenly colored weak red (10 R 4/2) clay with light and dark inclusions, covered with black paint. Handmade. Added band of clay, with incised hatches. Surface eroded. Comments: MM IB-III. For the band, a common type, compare Hawes et al. 1908: pl. 1, nos. 29-30 (Gournia). |
