Description

Body-sherd from a closed vessel. Medium textured, light brown (7.5YR 6/4) clay with light and dark inclusions, covered with black paint, with decoration in added white paint. Added white: flower or rosette with alternating outlined and solid petals. From Deposit A (for discussion of the deposit see Silverman 1978 a: 162-163; Soles 1979 a: 152, mostly dated MM I-III). The mature style of the rosette suggests MM IIB (Walberg 1976: Motif 10). Bibliography: Silverman 1978 a: 37, no. 75, andpl. 2b, no. 14.
