Description | Shakuhachi, one of unusual length, vertical, unnotched flute, mouth end bevelled for upper lip, bamboo, bound with black lacquered strips, brass inlaid letters and butterflies, four frontal holes, one at back, lower end curves slightly bore seems to taper towards lower end. |
