Description

Bronze. The bow is broken, but neatly mended in antiquity with two small rivets. Pin has one small break. Of the disks once strung on the arch only one, of amber, remains in place, but it is probably that some of the perforated amber disks on pl. XXI belonged to this and other fibulae from this tomb. A small enlargement of the bow adjacent to the catch kept the disks clear of the pin.

Length 6.5 cm
Credit Line Purchased from Francesco Mancinelli-Scotti, 1896
