Description | Used for storage of small articles; some were also used to store oils. Body of container is bulbous with a flat base; five pointed cut out of a star in top center; entire piece is incised with geometric burnt decoration, of large X's and triangles; a strand of eight beads where found inside the container, this strand once attached the lid to the box.Stem end cut out in form of 5-pointed star to form lid which is attached by three strings of red beads. Incised and blackened geometric decoration. |
