Description

Ornamented gourds, with burnt decoration. Used for storage of small articles; some were used for storing oil.

Incised and blackened geometric decoration of four panels each containing a large double lined X. Each panel is seperated with a column of diamonds. Ten pointed star cut out at top. Neck of gourd forms long handle.
