Description | A fan in a box. Fan for summer occasions. Made of paper covered by silk with bamboo sticks. Guards are made of ivory with gold lacquer and mother of pearl inlaid for flowers, butterflies, and birds. One side of the fan has two travelers crossing a bridge and Mt. Fuji behind. The other side has a variety of Japanese summer flowers with two birds. The top of the fan lined with gold. Pink silk tassel is attached. |
