Description | Damama. One of two kettle drums (29-173-6A/B) which go with 3 beaters (29-173-5A-C). Kettle drums bound together with leather cords. One has "double" drum head - outer casing cut away in center forming a large circular opening revealing drum head proper. In all other respects, drums are identical. Bodies of dark brown wood with tan skin heads. Leather ring bound around each head and base. Leather strips are tied to the rings forming 'V' shapes all around body. On side of each drum is a leather handle with long cords attached betwen them. |
