Description | Clay; elbow bowl, black shiny surface; "centipede" or palm frond design along lower axis, curving up front of bowl towards rim; two bands around rim, beneath reversed scallop design; two bands at beginning bowl stem; spirals fill side faces of pipe; underlined decoration is punctated by inlaid round sections of brass wire. Stem wood, end flat, decorated from bowl junction with brass band, carved red wood section, brass band; lip tapers conically to bowl opening. |
