Description | Wickerwork body on square checkerwork bottom. At basket shoulder is a bamboo hoop attached with Malay knots. At lip the bamboo splint warps are frayed and turned down, forming decorative edge. Lid is also wickerwork with concave center where warps form stakes to allow fish to enter. Looped and braided edge above concavity of nito. Lid is attached to shoulder hoop with metal stapels, string and wooden pin. Cotton cord for carrying. |
