Description | Joins to, same characteristics as MS 4631.1: Rim-sherd from a waisted strainer. Fine, pink (7.5 YR 7/4) clay with a paler surface, with decoration in brown paint and added white paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Vessel with a rounded profile; handles below rim, on shoulder. Bands on rim, upper and lower shoulder, and lower body. Foliate band on shoulder, bounded by zigzag lines. Added white; pendant solid semicircles on band at rim; tiny dots bounded by thin bands on dark bands above and below main frieze; thin bands on band on lower body. Comments: LM IB. See 4617-3. |
