Description

Three non-joining body sherds from the shoulder of a closed vessel. Fine, pink (5YR 6-7/4) clay with a paler surface, with decoration in yellowish red to dark reddish brown paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Interior unpainted. Grass or reed (FM 16) above band. A very common motif. See (among others) Hawes et al. 1908: pl. 7, no. 24 (Gournia).
