Description | Body-sherd from a large closed vessel. Medium textured, very pale brown (10YR 7/4) clay with light and dark inclusions, with decoration in red to black paint and added red paint. Wiped with water and probably burnished. Handmade. Interior unpainted. Spiral and flower below band. Added red: two different bands above dark band. Surface eroded. the motifs are common in the LM I pottery of Gournia. |
