Description

Body-sherd from a conical rhyton. Medium textured, red (2.5YR 5/6) clay with a dark gray core and a pink surface, with light and dark inclusions, with decoration in red to brown to black paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Part of two zones of tortoise-shell ripple. For the ripple motif see Vol. I, no. 24.
