Description | Rim-sherd from a semiglobular cup. Medium textured, pink (5YR 7/4) clay, with decoration in reddish brown to black paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Interior painted. Band on rim; zone of leaf-like tendrils above two bands. For the motif see vol. I, no. 30. The motif is usually regarded as typical of LM IA, but it also survives into LM IB (Betancourt and Davaras 1986: fig. 16, no. PS 93, from Pseira). |
