Description | Rim-sherd from a bowl or basin. Medium textured reddish brown (2.5 YR 5/4) clay with light and dark inclusions, covered with pink slip, with decoration in red paint and added white paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Band on rim, inside and out. Floral motif (?) in interior. Part of floral motif on exterior. Comments: Probably LM IA. Ornament too fragmentary for certain identification, but possibly the leaf-like tendril motif (The Cretan Collection: vol. I, no. 30). |
