Description | Large model of flat bottom wooden boat. The sides, each of a double plank, extend beyond the stern to support a flat and culminate at the other and in a sharply upturned bow. The flat bottom plank curves upward at the bow and projects beyond as a small platform supporting stylized figurehead. A series of oarlocks (3) are nailed along the top edge of each side. Three thwarts span the hull. The top planks of each side are decorated with incised circle and striped decorations. Six oars accompany this model. |
