Description | Yellow clay, with cover, brown bands. Pinkish cream fine texture clay. Design paint brown in varying shades - dark brown to faded beige. Purplish red and white added. Brown band on foot and base. Main zine at belly composed of very broad band of brown overlaid with narrow purplish red and white stripes. Shoulders also brown with red and white band superimposed. Lip of lid brown. Concentric circles brown and white on upper surface of lid, Knob once brown now rubbed to cream ground. Interior painted brown. Shape: flat bottom - short foot with perpendicular edge. Groove at junction with base of pot. Flaring base depressed spherical shape. Base of shoulder ridged, with shoulder slightly concave. Short perpendicular lip with rounded edge to receive lid. Lid shape convex with rounded lip. Small round knob handle at center. 2 very small loop handles attached at shoulder edge. Intact. Surface badly rubbed in areas. |
